Costs: the total transaction budget

  1. Request a full estimate for your chosen property: purchase price or rent, applicable taxes, notary services, legal review, registration and banking costs.
  2. Agree the agency fee, who pays it and when it becomes due. Ask for a list of the services included in that amount.
  3. For ownership, ask about recurring costs for building management, utilities, insurance and maintenance. For renting, ask about the deposit and move-in payments.
  4. Current rates and applicable charges depend on the transaction. A personalised written estimate helps plan your total budget; investment and residency questions are discussed separately with qualified specialists.
